Based just outside Bangkok, Thailand, Tong Siang Co. (a subsidiary of Yeh Group) is a leading textile manufacturer in Asia, supplying warp knit, circular knit, and flat knit performance fabrics for the sportswear industry. This internship provided me with a unique opportunity to experience the operations of a tier two supplier first hand, while participating in projects to grow the business.
My desire to work with Tong Siang was solidified when I learned about its sustainability efforts. The Yeh Group is the first company in the world to implement industrial waterless dyeing through the use of DryDye® technology. Additionally, the company is making significant efforts to reduce waste and convert to renewable energies. They are truly pioneers in sustainability amongst the textile industry.
